Goal:
- Create more “mature” and relaxing library area with less division from kitchen
- Top priority –removing TV
- Change fireplace look and type
Solution:
- Removed stone, added fireplace surround and bookcases
- Changed fireplace to gas from wood burning and made flush hearth to maximize space
- Removed half wall and installed new Santos mahogany wood floors
- New furniture, Oriental rug & accessories completed the renovation
- Client couldn’t be happier
Family Room Renovation
Goal:
- Relaxing room for Mr & Mrs to read or relax with one other couple (most comfortable in chair rather than sofa or loveseat)
- Update furnishings from many years ago; de-clutter shelves and entire space
- Needed comfortable bar stools for newly created kitchen bar
Solution:
- Add four comfortable chairs surrounding central cocktail table and new end tables
- New flat woven Oriental rug, Luminette Privacy Sheers, new paint color and finishing touches
- Took care to showcase some memorable collectibles
Living Room
Goal:
- Update “tired” looking living room on a budget and a tight timeframe
- Control sunlight that had ruined a tabletop
Solution:
- Painted walls, carefully chosen new furniture, window treatments and finishing touches
- New 2” blinds for light control and stone topped console table where sunlight is most intense
- Metal of table matches metal of new drapery rods
- On budget and on time =Success!
First Floor Redesign
Goal:
- Update, make more “cozy” and interesting , as well as give privacy and insulation to the windows
Solution:
- New wood floors, Duette shades on the windows, some new furniture and accessories
- Reusing what we could, project stayed on budget and achieved goals
Kitchen
Goal:
- Improve kitchen and rest of home to add value when selling
Solution:
- Added Quartz countertops and tile backsplash; replaced laminate wood floor with honed wood
- Throughout: new flooring and painted entirely
- Results: value of home is considerably higher than dollar amount invested
Lower Level Family Room
Goal:
- Create inviting casual space for family and to display varied sports collectibles
Achieved
TV Room Renovation
Goal:
- Change toy room to comfortable, more grown-up relaxing, TV room
- Hinder noise reaching to upstairs bedrooms
Solution:
- Added door to foyer opening
- New 2” wood blinds, Santos mahogany floors, furniture, area rug and finishing touches complete the desired results
Living Room Architectural Changes
Goal:
- Create more space to display collectibles and to hide the TV
- Add interesting ambient lighting
- Combine this couples varied tastes of Southwest & Country French
Solution:
- New shelving and bi-fold doors to hide TV; collectibles displayed tastefully
- Crown molding added to hide accent lighting
- Sillouette Shades installed bottom-up, in order to have privacy, but allow sunlight in
- Goals met, leaving some new furniture for a future project
